We’re looking forward to seeing the new JK Rowling film especially as they have managed to recreate the magic of 1920s New York. One of our favorite eras is the 1920s, the clothes, the glamour and excitement of the ‘roaring 20s’.
Ever since the Harry Potter movie series ended, we have all been waiting for more magical adventures from that same captivating universe. We shall wait no more, because “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them,” the long-expected “Potter” spin-off gets released this Friday! Seems like Christmas for Fantasy fans comes earlier this year.
The movie is an adaptation of JK Rowling’s book with the same title, published as a fundraiser for the Comic Relief charity.
“Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them,” and its fictional author, Newt Scamander, are only marginally mentioned in “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.” Harry and his schoolmates used it as a textbook for their “Magizoolgy” classes.
The handbook is comprised of the history of Magizoology (the study of magical creatures) and a description of 85 magical species from around the world. It has a foreword written by Albus Dumbledore himself. As such, the book does not contain a story line.
The movie script is oriented around the adventures of the eccentric Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne), the future author of the textbook. Newt, the Magizoology specialist, is sent in New York circa 1926, on a mission to investigate a case involving a rare magical creature. After an accident with Jacob Kowalski (Dan Fogler), a No-Maj (non-magical), some creatures from Newt’s weird (bigger on the inside) suitcase will escape. Newt, with the help of his companions, would have round them up while a powerful dark force is looming over the city.
“A grand fantasy-adventure” that is “sheer magic.” See #FantasticBeasts in theaters this Friday! #FBTickets: https://t.co/uy5YhEhs0k pic.twitter.com/xGdn5WqjTQ

Warner Bros announced that they would be making the movie back in 2013 and since then they’ve been working hard to make it perfect. In October 2016 Rowling confirmed the rumors that “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them,” will be a series comprised of five films.
“Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” gathered up a great production crew – at the helm of the project is JK Rowling herself. This is Rowling’s first experience as a scriptwriter, and she has the difficult job of building up a story from a fictional textbook without a narrative.
The magic wand of directing is in the hands of David Yates, a veteran director in the world of Harry Potter. David Heyman, the man that produced all eight parts of Harry Potter, is also part of this crew.
With actors such as Eddie Redmayne, Ezra Miller, Colin Farrell, johnny Depp, John Voight, Carmen Ejogo (among the other), the movie promises to be a real blast! Get ready for the magic; it’s coming…..
