The Famed Mystic Baba Vanga Foresaw Devastating Nuclear Threat in 2023

There are many opinions about what is to come for 2023, made by everyone from Nostradamus to modern scholars predicting the year’s housing market. Perhaps one of the most anticipated set of predictions, however, came from the famous blind mystic Baba Vanga. Known for her eerily accurate foresight, she made many less-than-ideal predictions for the coming year.

The famous Baba Vanga

Baba Vanga was given the nickname “the Nostradamus of the Balkans” for the many prophecies that she made during her lifetime. It is said that she started having them after she went blind as a young child. According to her, she was lifted into the air by a tornado before being dropped in a field, with so much sand and dirt getting in her eyes that it caused eventual loss of sight.

Her prophetic abilities became famed throughout Eastern Europe by the 1970s and ’80s, and she was visited by people from all walks of life. Despite dying of breast cancer on August 11, 1996, her numerous prophecies continue to live on as many of them referenced events far in the future. These include, of course, those that she made about the year 2023.

Biological weaponry

Biological weapons are a dangerous means of launching attacks on a mass scale in a way that is difficult to detect. Many people will recall that they came to public attention following the anthrax scare of the early 2000s when, shortly after 9/11, multiple letters were sent to figures of note that had been contaminated with the substance.

One of Vanga’s predictions was that there would be a biological weapon attack launched by one of the developed nations of the world. Many people have already connected this to the ongoing Russian war against Ukraine, despite the fact that under the Biological Weapons Convention of the United Nations, experiments with biological weapons have been banned.

Solar storm

Another of Vanga’s many predictions for 2023 was that humanity would experience a solar storm like no other that would actually strike Earth. ‘Solar storm’ is a catch-all term for many different events that happen on the face of the sun including coronal mass ejections, solar particle events, and solar flares.

Should one of these phenomena reach Earth, it could cause geomagnetic storms that could affect our electrical grid. In the past, solar flares at a distance have been known to cause radio blackouts, but if they actually reached all the way here it could be much more damaging, cutting off most established communication systems. Some believe that it could take years for it to be repaired.

Nuclear disaster

Baba Vanga also foresaw a devastating nuclear event that will occur before year’s end. The mystic predicted that multiple countries around the world could be affected by various illnesses spread in the air following an explosion at a nuclear power plant in Asia. Toxic clouds will supposedly form over the area and affect many different locations.

This could be an event similar to what happened with the Chernobyl disaster, when a routine test went wrong and caused an explosion and fire. Large amounts of radiation were released into the atmosphere. As a result, the site was completely abandoned and those living in the surrounding areas faced numerous health issues caused by radiation exposure.

A ban on natural birth

Perhaps one of the stranger predictions about 2023 was that at some point during the year, some governments will ban all natural births. Instead, children will be grown in labs, allowing parents to select the characteristics they want their offspring to have. Baba Vanga didn’t, however, specify which countries she believed this would happen in.

While CRISPR technology now allows for the alteration of genes in a human embryo – which scientists have successfully done – it’s still a source of heavy ethical debate in the scientific community. It is certainly not, as Vanga predicts, commonplace throughout the world.

An alien invasion?

Vanga’s final prediction for 2023 was that aliens would invade Earth and cause the orbit around the sun to change. This would lead to drastic changes on Earth, namely how possible life would be. If we were to move closer to the sun then temperatures would skyrocket, while moving too far away from the sun would cause them to plummet.

Aliens arriving on Earth is, apparently, a prediction that Vanga made many years in a row. She added that if this came to pass, millions would die and the planet would be “covered in darkness.”

Will these predictions come true?

Whether or not Vanga’s predictions will actually come true is heavily debated. She has had visions in the past which have come to pass, but also had many that did not. In 1989, she said, “The American brethren will fall after being attacked by the steel birds. The wolves will be howling in a bush, and innocent blood will be gushing.”

Many took this to be her predicting the attack on the Twin Towers. Scientists actually studied her abilities while she lived, concluding that 85 percent of her prophecies were correct. Among the incorrect 15 percent, fortunately, was the prediction that a nuclear war would occur between 2010 and 2014.

Baba Vanga clearly laid out her predictions for 2023, and we will simply have to wait and see what is yet to come.
