Several bombshell revelations have been revealed ahead of Pamela Anderson’s memoir Love, Pamela, which is set to be released on January 31, 2023. One story, in particular, has shocked the entertainment industry.

Anderson outs Allen

Anderson, now 55, revealed a disturbing alleged encounter with Home Improvement star Tim Allen in 1991 when she was 23 years old. She says that he exposed himself to her.

“On the first day of filming, I walked out of my dressing room, and Tim was in the hallway in his robe,” Anderson wrote, according to Variety. “He opened his robe and flashed me quickly – completely naked underneath. He said it was only fair, because he had seen me naked. Now we’re even. I laughed uncomfortably.”

Allen was likely referring to Anderson’s previous modeling work for Playboy, which shaped the future of her career and transformed her into one of Hollywood’s biggest sex symbols.

Bio

Pamela Anderson was born on July 1, 1967, in British Columbia, Canada. After being “discovered” at a Canadian football game wearing a formfitting Labatt beer t-shirt, Anderson appeared in a Labatt beer advertisement which led to a modeling offer from Playboy. Anderson was featured on several Playboy covers until she landed her first big acting break in 1991.

Cast as “Tool Time Girl” Lisa on the hit sitcom Home Improvement, Anderson appeared in 23 episodes and soon caught the eye of Baywatch casting agents. The show was known for its bad ratings and relatively boring plot lines, but it skyrocketed to become one of the most highly rated programs thanks to the addition of Anderson.

In 1995, Anderson married Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee in a small, spur-of-the-moment beach ceremony in Mexico. Not long after their nuptials, a videotape was stolen from the couple’s California home and subsequently distributed as an explicit tape – a massive blow to Anderson’s career as she struggled to find more legitimate acting opportunities.

The following year, Anderson starred in her first film Barb Wire which was a critical and commercial flop. Lee and Anderson had two sons together despite their on-and-off relationship status, but ultimately, Anderson filed for divorce in 1998 after Lee was arrested for domestic assault against his wife. The couple did briefly rekindle their romance in 2008.

Since Baywatch, Anderson acted in several other films and tv shows but has ultimately withdrawn from the spotlight – that is, until her highly anticipated memoir is released in January 2023.

Did Allen expose himself to Anderson?

Did Tim Allen actually expose his naked lower half to Anderson that day in 1991? “No, it never happened,” Allen told Variety in a statement. “I would never do such a thing.”

A representative for Anderson released a statement in response to the explosive claims. “This true story is just one of many surreal and uncomfortable situations I learned to navigate. My book goes into how it made me feel over the course of my life and, in this case, my career” Anderson said.

She doesn’t harbor any resentment for Allen’s behavior. “But like the rest, it should never have happened,” she said. Anderson’s claim is the most recent in a series of accounts brought forward by female actresses who have experienced similar misconduct and abuse in their workplaces throughout the years.

After her claim about Allen was made public ahead of the book release, Anderson made it clear she doesn’t feel any lingering ill will toward her former co-star for what happened. In a text conversation with Variety, she said, “Tim is a comedian, it’s his job to cross the line. I’m sure he had no bad intentions. Times have changed, though. I doubt anyone would try that post #MeToo. It’s a new world.”
