This is not the Sega Genesis but the Atari system! The first Atari game, Pong, was released in 1977. Hours of gaming ensued whenever an Atari system was booted up. Pong was based on a game included in the Magnavox Odyssey console, and Magnavox later sued Atari for patent infringement.
