There are a couple of different ways a driver can handle a yellow light. You can either slowly approach the intersection and stop or you may proceed to cautiously pass through the intersection depending on the situation.

- Pull onto the shoulder of the road
- Slam on your brakes
- Slowly come to a stop at the intersection; if you can’t safely stop, cautiously proceed through the intersection
