Newton-John passed away on August 8, 2022, after battling breast cancer. News of her passing was announced on Instagram by her second husband, John Easterling.

In the emotional post, he wrote, “Dame Olivia Newton-John (73) passed away peacefully at her Ranch in Southern California this morning, surrounded by family and friends. We ask that everyone please respect the family’s privacy during this very difficult time.”

He continued, adding, “Olivia has been a symbol of triumphs and hope for over 30 years sharing her journey with breast cancer. Her healing inspiration and pioneering experience with plant medicine continues with the Olivia Newton-John Foundation Fund, dedicated to researching plant medicine and cancer.”

Despite her physical death, her presence is still felt here on Earth, especially by her loved ones.

When she was still alive, Newton-John and her daughter, Chloe Lattanzi, used to spend time watching television together. They were particularly fond of paranormal activity shows, which became the link between Newton-John’s spirit and her daughter.

“Mom and I had talked years back. We’d watch these paranormal shows, and I’d say, ‘You gotta show up for me.’ And she was like, ‘I’ll show up as one of those orb things,'” Lattanzi explained. It seems Newton-John kept her promise to her daughter and has reached out to her in a supernatural way following her death.

She shared that just two weeks after Newton-John’s death, Lattanzi’s phone “accidentally took a picture of my dog, and there floating by his head was a little blue orb, the same color as this,” she said as she pointed to a pendant necklace her mother had given her, which was aquamarine in color.

Her husband got a visit as well

Lattanzi wasn’t the only one to feel Newton-John’s presence after her passing. Easterling also had his own experience with her spirit. The two got married twice in 2008 twice; first, they traveled to Peru to elope in an Incan spiritual ceremony held on a mountaintop, then back in Florida in front of family and friends.

On what would have been their 15th wedding anniversary, Easterling went back to that same spot in Peru where they were officially wed, carrying her ashes with him. He explained, “I took a picture, and this blue orb is right between my eyes.” He knew it was Newton-John with him, sharing in that moment together. “It’s been a supernatural year,” he said.

During Newton-John’s state memorial in February 2023, Easterling also described their life together as otherworldly. “Every day with Olivia was supernatural. Every day with Olivia was a bit of magic,” he said.
