Princess Diana is born

On July 1, 1961, the world welcomed one of its most beloved figures of the 20th century: Diana Frances Spencer. Born in Sandringham, Norfolk, England, Diana would grow up to become Princess of Wales after marrying Prince Charles in 1981. Known worldwide as Princess Diana, she captivated hearts with her compassion, humanitarian work, and style.

Princess Diana’s influence extended far beyond her royal duties.
